Home

Hello,

welcome to my pages! Let’s start with the name. Halituli. It means a hug. OK, not exactly :) It’s a combination word of sorts- “hali” in Finnish and “tuli” in Polish. Both mean a hug. And my bilingual daughter uses both at the same time. It’s super cute. This made-up word really conveys what my work is about. Connections. About simplicity and embracing the imperfect. Noticing the small things in life and celebrating them. Whenever I look through a viewfinder in my camera I want to capture life as it happens. Those simple, yet magical moments that form the solid base of your life. Wiping noses, going for walks, playing in sandbox.

Please feel free to click on any of the links on the left to get to know me and my philosophy on doula-ing and photographing births and families. Some of my recent blog musings are below. It’s a mix of personal and professional work. With some of my thoughts on life in general thrown in.

Nice to meet you :)
